Alekseev, A.U. Computers evaluating humans? Complex Turing Tests vs. complex computer tests in higher education//Polygnozis, 4(37), 2009, P.129-141
The development of omplex Turing Tests which incorporate the advantages of special Turing Tests are suggested or the analysis of intricate phenomena of electronic culture. The currently omnipresent introduction of computer testing in the system of higher education serves as an example for this analysis. Searles Test (Chinese room) analyzes the constraints of computer testing regarding the ability of students to comprehend the learned material. Watts Test (Inverted Turing Test) examines how comprehension is attributed to the tested person by the tester (judge). Based on a omplex Turing Test we criticize the premature and ubiquitious introduction of computer testing technology
Key words: electronic culture, computer testing, ability to comprehend
